Relentless Man United stage unbelievable comeback defeating Newcastle 3-2
  • The Red Devils returned to winning ways for the first time after 4 games without a win in all competitions
  • Newcastle grabbing two goals in the first ten minutes of the game
  • Second Half goals from Juan Mata, Martial and Sanchez helped Man United to avoided another terrible defeat at Old Trafford.

Manchester United came from behind to beat Newcastle United 3-2 at Old Trafford on Saturday after conceding two early goals in the space of 11 minutes in their home match against Newcastle City. The visitors shocked the host through Kennedy strike in the 7th minute and 3 minutes later, Yoshinori Muto doubled his side's lead. United's defense was wide open as coach Jose Mourinho was forced to make early substitution with Eric Bailey coming out for Juan Mata in the 19th minute.

Nevertheless, Rafael Benitez's men appeared victorious after the first 45 minutes of the meeting but were unable to hold on to the lead in the second as the reds came from behind to score a dying minute goal to help united win.

Old Trafford came alive and the crowd roared with excitement as the Red Devils played in a way that looked just like the days of Sir Alex Ferguson.

Interestingly, Mourinho's two substitutions paid of as both players scored in the game while Fellaini was instrumental in most of the attacks Ferguson himself was known for striking at the final hour and it looks like United might have finally found their feet again.

Moruinho's fate is yet to be decided as United are firmly backing their managing dismissing rumours he was going to be fired. With that last minute performance it is not hard to see why that might be the case.

The Red Devils have struggled since the start of the present season with just 4 wins in 10 matches in all competitions this term.

After today’s result, United are placed tenth on the EPL table while their goalless draw against Valencia in the Champions League placed them two points behind Juventus on Group H table.
